BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU OF METROPOLITAN HOUSTON AND SOUTH TEXAS SPOTLIGHTS ATLANTIC PETROLEUM WITH WINNER OF THE DISTINCTION AWARD

As a part of focusing regional attention on businesses and non-profits for their commitment to, and accomplishments in, excellence in the Greater Houston area. Atlantic Petroleum was among the few companies recognized at the annual Better Business Bureau Awards of Excellence on October 8, 2024.  Honored as a Winner of Distinction, this was the first time to be recognized by the Better Business Bureau for services beyond self-interest. When asked what it meant to Atlantic Petroleum to receive this acknowledgment, Anthony Ndah stated, “Every day, we work a little bit harder so we can spend a little bit more time with our customers and clients, and it is an honor to be recognized for our efforts".

KATY, TEXAS, April 25, 2024 — Anthony Ndah has been recognized for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.


Mr. Ndah has dedicated his career to the petroleum industry, currently serving as the founder and chief executive officer of Atlantic Petroleum since 2016. In this role, he oversees the company’s strategic direction and manages employees and customers to ensure timely deliveries while maintaining solid relationships with partners, clients, and customers. His responsibilities also include developing strategies for company growth, maximizing profits, minimizing expenses, and ensuring environmental compliance. Additionally, Mr. Ndah handles marketing tasks to further Atlantic Petroleum’s reach and success.


Before stepping into an entrepreneurial role, Mr. Ndah honed his expertise as a drilling engineer at Schlumberger in Houston from 2004 to 2016. This role saw him designing and implementing plans for drilling operations, optimizing resource extraction processes, and ensuring the safety and efficiency of drilling activities. Before joining Schlumberger, Mr. Ndah embarked on his professional journey as a petroleum engineer at Chevron in 2000, where he developed production strategies to maximize hydrocarbon extraction. He also worked for Schlumberger earlier in his career, in 1999, as a production and wireline services engineer.


Mr. Ndah’s commitment to continuous learning is evident in his impressive educational background. He holds a Bachelor of Science in petroleum engineering from the University of Ibadan, a Master of Science in petroleum engineering from Texas A&M University, and a Master of Business Administration from Rice University.


Throughout his career, Mr. Ndah has been an active member of several industry-related organizations, including the American Association of Drilling Engineers, the International Association of Drilling Contractors, the Society of Petroleum Engineers, and the Society of Independent Gasoline Marketers of America. His involvement in these associations underscores his commitment to staying abreast of industry trends and contributing to advancing petroleum engineering practices.


Deeply committed to giving back to the community, Mr. Ndah founded the Tony Ndah Foundation in 2019. The foundation empowers underprivileged communities in developing countries through various education and health care initiatives. He is also involved in charitable work in the U.S. and Africa and supports organizations such as Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Susan G. Komen.

Mr. Ndah’s dedication to societal betterment is further evidenced by his receipt of several awards, including his company being named America’s Fastest Growing Companies by the Financial Times in 2021 and the Forbes Next 1000 in 2021.


His firm was also named the Fastest-Growing Business by the National Minority Supplier Development Council and the Houston Business Journal in 2023. Mr. Ndah attributes his success to his unwavering tenacity, willingness to take risks, and habit of pushing himself to accomplish things others might consider impossible. He also credits his faith for providing him with strength, guidance, and inspiration. Looking ahead, Mr. Ndah is eager to contribute to research initiatives at Rice University, focusing on supporting cancer research and empowering young people by promoting education in mathematics and sciences.
